JPJ Percubaan driving license –> Competent procedure
Mar 12th, 2007 by Vik
Things required to change your Percubaan Driving License:
- P License (almost expired – 5 days before expiry/ Expired)
- Passport-sized Photo
- Cash (Rm30 for one year license validity, Rm150 for 5yrs)
The malay lady at the counter asked for passport photo.
She took it and straight away cut the photo to appropriate size for the license. Then she went through the computer records to find the data of the person and then she printed the personal infos onto a paper. Extra parts of the printed paper was torn. The photo is firmly hold on top of the paper in her hand without any glues. Then she used 2 plastic covers to clip together the paper and photo that she was holding. The whole thing that she held together containing 4 layers (like Teh C special unmixed) was inserted into a machine which did something to it. And walla~~new license.
All this was done in approximately 1-2minutes. Her hand was swift as if she had done this for a few years. The photo was cut to the exact size as the border shown on the paper. (the place she needs to put the photo on)
Yup, no long waits for the renewal process, except the queue.
