Keep on rolling

Life is like driving a car through the endless winding roads on the mountains.

There are trees and slopes blocking your view, making the journey a risk.

You never know when you’ll hit a rock or get hit by another car or something.

You might lose your control over your car and start sliding in the wrong direction.

When it happens, you must countersteer or learn to do so and get back in control.

Do not end up driving yourself off a cliff.

Over addiction to apple

Vik thinks Vik is overly addicted to Shiina Ringo.

Vik had 2 consequent nights of dreams about Shiina.

1st dream: Vik dreamt of meeting a girl on the street who was listening to Shiina’s songs and then became friends with her. lol

2nd dream: Vik was capture by some unknown man or some dark figure and was forced to say Shiina’s name before freeing Vik. I’m not sure what this means lol.

Btw, ringo means apple in Japanese.

Somebody save me…

Why Human?

Sometimes, I wonder why humans exist, especially when something upsets me deeply.

We humans are like parasites to the Earth. We use the land. We cut the trees. We kill other species. We eat them. We dominate everything we can. We contaminate the water. We dig for energy resources and metals. We change the climate. We live, we grow, we leave something behind and we die. What good are we to the animals, the trees, the Earth? We are good at killing them.

Are we part of an experiment to see our future? Experiment by whom? Are disasters part of this experiment, for manipulating our number? What is the hypothesis?

The New Swinburne Sarawak

Sorry about the lousy photos. They are from my humble little HP lol. I was sneaking around when I took those pics so they had to be done quickly hehe. (Some areas were not opened at the time but there were some access points so I went in to look around since the next lesson will be in an hour.) It’s easy to get lost if you don’t have a good sense of direction. It’s almost like a maze if there are no signs showing where is where.

Pcitures:

Basically, it’s just a list I copied from Paultan.org and then edited/simplified for the purpose of ease of comparisons and references.

If anyone knows where to get lists with rankings from 1999-2004 please provide the link. Most lists only tell the first in each category.  It’s true that people tend to only look at number 1s, but it’s not bad to know others below it, right? Otherwise, the list will be boring, because chances are, you are going to see lots of BMWs.  ;P

Triangler

Woohoo Maaya’s new single was out months ago.

Now these are the rankings of the single.

First Week Sales
Oricon: 31,250 (#3)
Soundscan Japan: 49,423 (#1)

Second Week Sales
Oricon: 12,550 (#6)
Soundscan Japan: 14,637 (#5)

Third Week Sales
Oricon: 12,886 (#6)
Soundscan Japan: (to be announced)

I think these figures are one of Maaya’s best yet.

I personally like the second song, Kotomichi, more than the first, Triangler (anime Macross Frontier opening song).  Though, the 1st song is nice too but the first 20 seconds sounds kinda forceful.

The 1st song is composed by Yoko Kanno ;) though this time the lyrics aren’t done by Maaya herself. Apparently people are having a hard time figuring out some words on the 1st song.

The second song, Kotomichi, is acoustic. And I love acoutics. It’s nice because Maaya can express her beautiful voice without all the sound from noisy plugged instruments.

I could give many examples of what I like about youIt would be so much better if only I could say

that I’ve come to hate you

I pick up the burnt up fragments remainingand place them carefully in my pocket

The two of us, sad, didn’t even cryWe gently said good-bye, as if we were talking about love

Emotions arenot something that that are taught to you by someone, they are something you always have

Yet I am never able to classify them well myself

Peaceful, frightening, strong, vivid

All I do is take it in

After I silently witnessed the end of this special timeI said good-bye and gently touched you

amidst the atsmophere that spoke of how I had loved you

Sakamoto: ‘Kotomichi’ means ‘koto naru michi’ (’different paths’). Up till now these two people have walked the same path side by side. ‘We have to go our separate ways now,’ they say; ‘a quiet parting that comes so that we can each move onward,’ it’s a song that expresses such a parting. To express that world, I thought, ‘Old-fashioned words would be good,’ so I named the song ‘Kotomichi’.
